The Footscray Maker Lab is a business of the Footscray Maker Co-operative (FMC). FMC is a member owned and run co-operative established to provide Melbourne based makers / designers / producers / citizens a space in which to work and tinker with interests that require medium to large amounts of space. The co-operative has three key aspects:
1) A physical space that allows members to work on their businesses/projects/hobbies.
2) Opportunities for co-learning through events, courses and workshops and
3) A social and organisational structure that supports the enterprises and aspirations of members
The Maker Lab/Workshop manager is Nick Owen.
The FMC management board includes: Gordon Lescinsky, Tom Harris, Christian Patton, Duncan Hames and Rory McMahon.
